Am I the only one on here who is sick and tired of reading posts about wfp ? ....." Oh no me pipes are gonna freeze what am I gonna do " Real men (traditional as my old unit sergeant liked to call us ) are actually going up and down ladders and cleaning windows ! Its ok we understand you have gone soft , but dont worry will carry on while ya pipes are freezing , we get the satisfaction of extra cups of tea and ......" wow we didnt expect to see anyone coming through that blizzard ! Its ok your van looks nice ...... !

Hi Jonah and welcome to the site. Gotta warn ya though.......if you're anti wfp and don't want people going on about wfp,then maybe this aint the place for ya fella. It used to be a 50/50 thing,but not any more. Open your eyes a bit though is my advice. When one of my customers once told me they saw a couple of blokes cleaning windows with poles, i laughed. Within a year i was a pole person too. And i have ABSOLUTELY no regrets. :)

Presumably you've tried it so are well qualified to criticise.
Next you'll be saying that only real men get swallowed by whales. Personally, I haven't tried that so am not in a position to judge.

Oh and try not to alienate yourself..........we're a good bunch really. You say you're sick and tired..........but you've only posted half a dozen times. Give us time ;) As my wife says. Real men need to hold their pole with BOTH hands :)

Only one person whinging on this post so far. Just relax a bit. If you've got a trad question...ask it. If you ain't..then er...don't. If you see a post about wfp..don't read it. Easypeasy.

I remember when mr sqweaky used to mock the wfp'lers on this site and now he is one .
But it must be said that at this time of year ther are going to be a lot of posts relating to the cold conditions that we are ALL experiencing. But having said that there are also alot of posts relating to Scrimms and different detergents etc that the trad guys post. At the end of the day we are all too lazy to look through the search part of the forum. If you have no interest in the problems we are having with our frozen pipes, why read them.
I use a mixture of trad and wfp.
The part about being a real man if you trad makes me part real man and part artificial??

Hi, just starting out but have noticed there are two groups on here......wfp and traditional ! wouldnt it be an idea to split the two into seperate forums ? :-*
I always used to try to teach my grandmother to suck eggs too, til I got egg on my face, you did say you were just starting out didnt you?
BTW I'm trad Jonah, but will hoepfully be a softie WFPer shortly, bring it on ;D

and by the way i use both trad and wfp and work in any weather i can get away with .Real men my middle eastern donkey ::) ::)

welcome to the site
in our business wfp and trad are both needed its just different tools, if your just starting out trad you'll get good advice on here and maybe you can help others out
you may not like wfp because you dont understand it but one day you might need it or change to it so try not to be too hastey or negative concentrate on one job at a time.
They are a helpful bunch on this forum

i use this forum to ask for advice to offload frustrations and to just chat with like minded people i started trad and went wfp last year but use both depending on job . Now if jonah is just having a laugh then fair enough BUT if not then he should remember we all CLEAN WINDOWS. Wfp users get just as cold and work just as hard and most of us were trad once ok?? Sorry for taking it personal but there you go .There is a lot of help and good advice on this forum no need to start all this crap

Hey Jonah, Ever hear of the phrase 'Work smarter, not harder'? Think about it when you are next climbing up and down ladders all day taking half hour to clean a house! ;)

Who really cares wether you clean windows traditionally or WFP.
It's down to the individual to decide which method they prefer.
I don't knock any traditional window cleaners. I was one myself for several years before my illness forced me to give up work and left me dependant on help from other people.
WFP has allowed me to re-start window cleaning and give me back my independence.
I treat my job differently now because of my past. I run it as a business as efficiently as I can manage.
I don't do favours of any kind for customers, or free washes, or let them run up an outstanding bill.
It's a business and I only do this job because of the money to pay my mortgage, that's the bottom line.
Who cares what the customers think. So long as I do the best job I can in the quickest time possible, that's it, end of story.
If I could clean a house quicker up a ladder than WFP I would if my health permitted it but it doesn't so I'm stuck with WFP. So I've accepted it and try to do every job with the minimum of effort in the quickest time possible.
It's a means to bring in a wage to live life and enjoy it as no-one knows what life will throw at them in the future. :)

I thought we had seen the last of these postings. Its not about REAL MEN its about REAL MONEY. Anybody who wants to financially disadvantage themselves by cleaning windows the hard way can't have an opinion worth listening to.
Yes WFP is taking over. You've got to ask yourself why.

i was walking down the street when this woman came out and shouted to this guy with a big pole holding it with both hands, i think he was cleaning windows,she shouted when you finnished
cleaning them windows with that brush come and clean my toilet ive pebbled dashed it ;D

well i ve swung my pole all morning filled the old trad bucket with cash, now off to get hair and nails done and a chest wax
