I'm thinking about booking a course with prochem, 2 day carpet cleaning and one day hard floor cleaning. Has anybody done these courses as a bit of feed back would be great. I'm based near Tunbridge Wells and its nice and local. Thanks

Did mine in 1985 so they may have changed a bit since then......... ::)
Do hear good things but the instruction will be product specific ......................... consider NCCA course for wider applications and instruction on more varied methods.
NCCA qualification is also more recognised once you take up membership ....... i personally, have had my joining costs back many times due to work via office & website 8)
Best of luck whichever route you decide to take.

Would agree with Chris having only done the Prochem course. Since realised that my knowledge was based more on products rather than science which means I lacked technically compared to those who had done NCCA or IICRC. Caught up quite a bit since but still plan to do NCCA in the near future.

Did it about eight months ago, and its exelent. A lot of peopel say they only do it to push there products, but the training is exelent, and regarding products they show you the products to use for the right job.
Five star rating, shame about the hotel they used in Manchester last time though, rooms wear bad.....

Thought they only did courses at Chessington ........... only 10 minutes away from me so i can always pop in there for Pure Clean now and again ;D

Hi Chris
Seems Prochem break away from tradition now & then.
June 24th & 25th 2008 they are doing one dayers for carpet and then upholstery in Manchester.

Sherco, Ashby's have training days soon and they are on your doorstep.

Hi
As others have said, the Prochem courses are excellent and are very much hands-on. Although Prochem equipment is used, the methods are entirely generic.

I did the Prochem one day carpet cleaning course 6 years ago and it was superbly organised, and most beneficial to me. It doesn't really matter too much if the trainer focuses on their products or presents the course with a more open mind, it's the subsequent practice of the methods you're taught that improves your competence. A one, two or three day course can't provide a great deal of experience, but it does point the way forward for YOU to improve in time.

I did the Prochem 1 day carpet course about 20 years ago and it was excellent. I'd say that it was the equal then to the NCCA course except with it being (quite rightly) brand focused, it may initially be more difficult for the newbies to relate to the suitability of other brand products.
NCCA Training, being generic, makes it easier, IMO, for newbies to relate to product types better.
Safe and Happy New Year :)

Hard floor defiantly amtec don’t know about cc but.
I would go for ether.
Prochem/ncca
Ashby/ncca
Amtec (if)/ncca
If you go on the ncca course get phone numbers for problem solving, think the may they it on there site but a bit limited as do Prochem.

Hi,
I have done both the NCCA and the Prochem course and the Prichem course comes out on top in my opinion.
