Mrs K on early shift today so dropped her off at Waitrose at 7.15am.
And there he is, the old geezer who does lots of the shop fronts along Putney High Street....bucket, blade, pole and applicator in hand.
Now I've seen the results of his work when he's done it in full daylight and it ain't good....runs galore ::)...he makes even me look good ;D
Gonna pop back later and see what his efforts look like after he's done 'em in the dark :-\
-
Did you say HI to him ;D
That's not a bad way of cleaning windows mate, I thought this new Reah & wash is the best way ;D ;D ;D
Would stop all those runs you have left ;)
Should of said that S.K

Hi,
I have been cleaning shop windows in the dark for 25 years.
Kevin WINDOLENE.

we have been cleaning windows thursday and friday at 5am and that was pretty dark ;)
-
Call me old fashioned guys but I'd sooner wait until it's light so that I can see clearly what I'm doing and see that the end result is OK.

Always do my shops early thought most window cleaners did. Go Down centre of london there out doing them at 2am

It`s fine doing shops in the dark, just make sure you use a new blade. Most shop`s have some sort of internal lights on anyway which makes it easy to see what your doing.
-
I don't do shops so it's irrelevant to me. I suppose with commercial you don't have too much choice as to when they're cleaned.
-
With a lot of commercial that i do i can do them when i like.
-
I was referring more to commercial "up west"...!

Simon, yes. In Harrow the window cleaners are there before 6.30 am summer and winter. They have to be finished and get the vehicles out by a certain time. They do the other shops as well before the parking restrictions start at 8. The wardens give no concessions.

What`s different about up west.

Oxford Street Saturday lunchtime...in the sales?
