Title: cleaning machines

Is there a machine that will clean stone floors, tiles etc which could also be used for carpet cleaning?

Yes it’s called a truck-mount and it cost a few bob, attachment costs are a bit ott.

A high pressure portable carpet cleaning machine should do the job adequately.
Different wand and hand tools, obviously different cleaning solutions.
Other different attachements too, like water spinners with extraction.
Never done stone or tiling cleanning myself but good to know I have the basic equipment if I want to go in that direction.
Be interested in how you get on if thats what you are going to do.

try the prochem 5 star i believe mike of express cleaning sells them at a reasonable price

I got a prochem steampro which I use for carpets but also have a numatic rotary which  you can get the different drive boards to clean most things inside. I also have the wire brush drive board which I use to abrade drives before resealing. You can also get a hard floor tool for the carpet machine but its a little limited

Sounds like if i go down this road i would be better of getting two machines, one for carpets and a rotary scrubber for hard floors.

You  can use a rotary for bonnet cleaning carpets aswell, but the recommended speed for bonnet cleaning is 175 rpm so it would have to be a variable speed machine.

I got the slow numatic m/c - thats ok for most things with the brush or board but for buffing needs to be the fast one

What sort of price would you charge per square metre for Gum removal ie:  not too much gum, a lot of gum, lots of gum?

I wouldn't charge too much to clean not too much gum, I'd charge a lot to clean a lot of gum, and to clean lots of gum I'd want lots of money.  :)

I'agree with Gary - I measure the area then select four areas of a metre and count the gum, then if you work on 12 seconds for each piece.
