Title: 1000l IBC tank
Post by: Spruce on December 22, 2007, 04:30:10 pm
Hi All,

Son Cameron picked up a disgarded 1000l IBC tank from a commercial van trader would took it out of a van that he had traded which had been used to power wash bus shelters.
Unfortunately the steel cage had been taken for scrap. (The tank is baffled by the way.)
Can it be used for water storage as it is or does it need the cage to support  the sides due to the weight of the water?
I appreciate that it needs to be raised off the ground to clear the outlet tap.

Thanks

Spruce

Nope, the cage is there for a reason - support.  Waste of time to think otherwise,
