Title: Muck for luck? NOT this time
Post by: clean on December 20, 2007, 06:31:45 pm
I was 5 mins into a job today and got a real strong smell of the dreaded stuff yep "DOG MUCK"  :-\ ,i turned around it it all up the side of my trousers  from ankle to hip, bottom of my coat and sleeve not only was it on my microbore hose but all up my pole hose aswell  >:( ,i was livid it stunk vile i dropped everything and stormed off to my van to get some cloths used the hose on the house to wash it all off my hoses and did my best to clean my clothes,to top it all off the people of the house were`nt even in to pay, this happened mid morning and so i had to plod on stinking of the nasty stuff,i was too far from home to get changed and i had 3 large detached propertys to clean along the lane, the last one also was usually scatterd with it so i had a quick look before i made a start and yep all over the place so i gave them a knock and i was ready to give anyone an argument, but they appologised and cleaned it all up before i started, why do people leave so much dog muck in their yards it`s real nasty stuff,i have a dog and it gets cleaned up straight away, right rant over  ;)

Don't blame you mate

What about a polite note to give the Dog Poo culprits?

Something like this:

Dear <customer>

There is a lot of dog dirt in your garden when I come to clean the windows.  As you can imagine, this creates havoc with my equipment!  Please could I have your phone number then, next time, I can ring you just before I come and if you would be so kind as to clear up before I come that would be much appreciated.

Thankyou

Yeh :-\
What do you think?

David

I once had dog poo all up my ladders.  The lady was so upset about it she got a bucket of hot water and bleach and washed my ladders down while I had a cuppa :o :o
My ladders were cleaner than they had been for ages :o
It made me feel a bit bad, but she insisted :o

I think it's worse with Wfp as it seems to end up on your hands as well as your clothes. Happened to me yesterday.

Walked it up my ladders. Couldn't blame the customers as they don't have pets.

I think any customer who has a w/c and keeps dogs/cats should be forced to fit there pets with a bag, and if the custy's are the lazy ones, then the bag could burts all over there living rooms, then we could laugh about it and say how do you like it???

We put a leaflet out with the pre addressed envelope when this happens, which asks them politely to clean up before the next clean (due to H&S and all that).
Normally works but this week someone clearly took umbridge to it and cancelled by writing on the back of the slip we put through.
No loss and less mess.

I was stood on one leg washing my boot and this is after the twerp had cleaned his yard! He laughed and said "i thought i picked it all up" I said it's not nice you know! No reaction. The thing is they don't clean up properly - they don't dissinfect the yard at all my hose has to lay in it it's unavoidable. I'm just too mild mannered to tell the berk where to go. When i get home i'm spitting nails mind. >:( >:( >:(

you act business like nothing wrong with that, but to be laughed at  :-\ not sure I would act that way how ever hard I would try to.
If it keeps happening and it is a small house, replace him or increase the price.

Rest assured that what goes around comes around.  Here's an example.

I'm pushing the kids buggy in the park.  Dog poo gets stuck to one of the wheels, and leaves start sticking to it.  Umpteenth time this has happened.

So I make my way to the pond in the park and wash the wheel/tyre in the water, just as I'm finishing I notice two bloody great big dogs and thier owner in her pristine white coat and black boots - looks like she doesn't clear crap up.

What happens next?  The dogs start drinking the water from the pond where I washed the excrement off!  LOL! How I laughed and  s n ig g e r e d  as I walked off.

I can imagine the owner having her face licked by those dogs and getting some of her own back.

THAT'S JUSTICE!  ;D ;D ;D
