What is the best way to deal with fleas Spray the Room?
or Vacuum the room
Glen Needham an entomlogy proffessor at Ohio State University has been conducting experiments and has discovered tht the vacuum cleaner is the best way of dealing with fleas.
It appears that the brush on the vacuum takes off the shiney coat on the flea which keeps them alive so when the flea is sucked up its a gonner.
!00% of baby fleas are erradicated and 98% of Adult.
Proffesosor Needhamwas so supprised by his findings he ran the experiment several times.

Much the same as any pest erradication - physical removal is the key. However seeing as these critters can jump the flea equivalent of st. Pauls cathedral I don't think you're likeley to nab them all. A good tip for the knowledge bag but I'll stick to treating affected area's following this suggested vacuum clean.
Thanks

As Alan says, actually catching them might prove difficult, and they tend to also disappear, by burrowing with speed.
Came across them recently in the Dominican Republic
