Title: Pleasantly suprised by TDS reading Surrey.
Post by: [GQC] Tim on December 18, 2007, 11:00:02 pm
10min south from Guildford. 210ppm from Tap, not bad, expected a lot worse. Have yet to measure pressure, gauge is on my RO, and don't want to hook up the RO yet, aint going to use it for another month or so till I finalise/build in everything. If that is good too then I'm over the moon.

Very happy with the ppm. :)

It's about that at the other end of Surrey too (Sussex border area).  Something to be aware of though.  My membranes were ruined earlier than they should have been due to pre-filters (or lack of).  I needed to add an extra pre-filter to my system to filter out iron.  It may be OK now but possibly the excessive rain and flooding a few months back pulled iron deposits into the water supply.  I suppose it depends which part you are supplied from as well.
