Title: Hoses and Pumps Freezing ??
Post by: TERRY AB on December 13, 2007, 03:18:30 pm
For peace of mind I suggest that you get a small Oil radiator and keep it on all night (just use and extension cable; passes through window!).
If you cant use an extension cable, then buy a good Inverter 500 to 1000 watts. and use a 12 volt 300 watt heater, all you need is another 12 volt battery which can be recharged during the day.

you have said what I was thinking about but didnt know what I needed.

I cant have cable to van, I need a heater just in case what happened today happens again. so what is an inverter ????? and how long will it keep a 300w heater working for ?

its minus 4 here each night....  wrapped sheet round ro in the van... sheet over hoses and reel and pump

perfect... nothing frozen at all .... even with frost on the inside of the van walls. ;)
