Asus have just brought out a laptop that's the size of a book and is only £220!
I have resisted the laptop revolution but this thing is very tempting. if you had a portable printer you could print out quotes there and then.

Mike;
Asus makes some darn good lap tops. My son and his good friend have one. Extremely clear screen!!!
That's all the input I have.

It doesn't come with any software either, by the time you've added Windows, it starts to look a little expensive, and no wireless internet either.
Think I'd rather have a laptop with these things already added.
It does look good though 8)

I thought it had wireless capability?
I used to like messing with barebones LINUXY type thing and stick two fingers up to Bill Gates, but I'm too old for that sort of thing nowadays. Where's me slippers?

Despite every reason I can come up with on its failings including a really small keyboard which will cheese me off in no time.
I now want one.
Why is that ???

It's the new Ipod. You geek! ;D

If you're after a cheap laptop then you can do a lot worse than dell, just recently bought the inspiron 1501 £199.00 + p&p, and it comes with windows vista lots of extra software, cd/dvd writer, wifi ready. 15.4 widescreen etc
really is worth the money and they are quite rugged! was thinking of getting another purely for quotes and invoicing etc when out, as already have a canon infra red portable printer.
Its good to check there site regularly as they are changing the offers all the time

Flip! Missed that trick, their now £349

If it had an Apple badge on it, it would be £400 and they would call it the ibook.
I think if you saw one in the shops and realised how small it is, it would be in it's own category.

Get yerself a bluetooth printer instead of infrared. A million times more reliable and quicker than infrared. We use the HP deskjet 460wbt. Battery lasts forever and you can plonk the printer anywhere (not even in line) and it will print ;)

Would not buy another Dell even if you gave me the £359 as well!!

hi there
the asus has ony got a 4gb hard disk, wont take a lot to fill that up, and with 512mb ram, would sart to go very slow.
really would look at something else to be honest.
spotted the sony vaio nr10 at £500 inc VAT, 2gb Ram 160gig hard drive dual core processor, ista premium, wifi,
so we getting two on monday, written off over three years appears as £280 ish depreciation in the p and L account

If you had the right forms, there is nothing mightier than the pen. ;D
