you mean pencil or fan jets, pencil will save your water and is more accurate,
fan is a wider spray that will cover more area, but will use up a lot more water,
its a 50-50 way thing here, some swear by pencil and some swear by fan spray,
just watch the debate  ;D ;D

Opinion is split, but I think it is in favour of pencil jets.
You CAN be accurate with fan jets, it was all I used for a couple of years, they do the job perfectly well, but with pencil/needle jets you can operate with a far lower flow rate, thereby making your water go an awful lot further.
For a fan jet to be effective, you need a fairly high flow rate to achieve a decent "fan" of water.

so for me, I am in favour of the fan/needle jet  ;)

The jets in my new vikan brush are great. I never liked pencil jets before but now I am a convert.
