I am watching my kids christmas plays today one at 10am the other at 2pm so hopefully the frost will be gone and will work inbetween.
-
My pole was frozen solid, well the water in the tube inside was and I lost over half an hour at the first job trying to thaw it out.
Am going to bring the hoses in tonight, What do you do? I can't be the only one with this problem.
-
Run some hot water through my hosereel before I go to bed and cover the hosereel in a cylinder insulation jacket ready for work at start of next morning ;D
-
I have ez connectors (tails) fitted to my poles and always let water run out of my poles at the end of a working day so there is no water in them to freeze on cold nights.
-
Got my oil filled heater on timer in the van will come on about 3.30 leaving for work at 6.30 so should be nice an warm and all the hoses thawed out by then. Prob get a big elec bill but who cares. Always carry my bag of grit this time of year just to sprinkle over any entrance ways ;)

No problems for me - water started freezing on the frames and sills though. I stayed pretty toasty all day.
-
i am 50% trad and wfp so did a trad day today. Keep thinking of switching more work across but there is no way i would have wfp'd today. water freezing everywhere.
-
didn't get my van started till 1. Had to recharge the battery first.
-
Carry a lidded container with very hot water in it, then if the pole hose freezes up put all the pipework in there to defrost.
Also if possible keep the hoses off the ground they tend not to freeze so much then.

Yes, but customers windows aren't freezing because of the heat from the house.
If you do a shop before it opens it will freeze.
And has to be a lot colder than that to freeze in your van.

Water in my pump frozen this morning - took till 11.30 to thaw, had to revert to ladder till then :'(
Going to bring everything indoors tonight, and wrap the pump in a nice warm wooly jumper ;D
-
my pump and pipes were frozen till 11
i blew 2 fuses on the pump seeing if it had thawed ( had to pop to halfords to replace it )
ive now got my brush head - pipe and spare pump box in the garage to stay warm ;)
-
Where do you lot live Antarctica? ???
Well below freezing here, but it doesn't freeze your kit.
-
Put your laptop in the van - this sites full of hot air.
-
My van is modern and pipes still freeze on my system, it was -6/7 the other night, but I have a heater in there so I'm fine!

My hose was frozen, which was a little irritating after all my hot system bragging.
I ran it flamed up for about 40 secs before it jammed. I turned it off tap open and waited while some drips came out, then flamed up again.Sorted in about ten minutes.
Next the pole had frozen, but as i had hot water going in this only resisted for about a minute.
My transfer hose from the IBC tank is frozen, I leave this lying on the ground and this I couldn't defeat. I can't clean windows again till sunday so I am hoping for a thaw by then. If not I'll have to fill direct into the tank.
I've put a couple of candles in the van for tonight.
