the second one down. If connected properly as shown in the instuctions it will shut off the water pressure . I got one on my system and it works great

Steve!

And if you have a booster pump running will they also stop the flow without blowing connections or leaking?

YES the booster pump would blow up :o
I have a Merlin RO with no booster pump and use a shut of valve from gardeners with Electric cut-off switch http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Accessories.html
which is fitted inside the IBC tank works fine for me...

you could always have a timer plug on the booster plug that would stop it blowing

[you could always have a timer plug on the booster plug that would stop it blowing/quote]

you would also have a float valve in the tank to stop it from over flowing, ytou would have to work out the times so the booster pump disabled before full, then when valve is fitted it would stop water going in.

Yer spose that could be done ww, just sounds alot of messing around
Reading the details of the one pole man listed it looks like that one could work with a booster pump as it says on the details of gardiners website :
Float valve with Electric cut-off switch
Compact dual float-Valve stops water on product side of a RO system or water filter. This valve has the added benefit of having a micro switch that can on or off a device (booster pump) when either the storage tank is empty or full.
Am just un sure whats best never done any of this before lol.

You need an electrical float switch, solenoid and relay system.
This is what we have on our Ionic system
