The weather is horrendous, we,re in early to do awkward offices with s.... windows that cant be done in the rain properly.

Same here the rain has stopped but the wind is incmeadible. We got a very big house with sash windows to do but also have the luxury of doing the insides so if any don't come out well we can redo them. Am I glad I'm not up a ladder.

Simon.

Beautiful clear morning up here, sun is just coming up, slight crescent of the moon still low in the sky and there's only a very slight breeze.

Saying that, I'm cleaning carpets/upholstery all day today so I'll be inside anyway, but the lads will be content, they've had a good week this week with plenty of Christmas tips.

im using 10ft aluminium ladder for 2nd storey work
is it possible by the force of wind to slide sideway and fall?
i guess if the sill is stone or cement theres a grip
plastic slidey sills im concerned about

Winds of this nature blow trees down.

Be extremely careful with long ladders at height - gusty winds are particularly a problem and are unpredicable.

If in doubt don't!! They will go sideways.

If you are already concerned about this then you already know the answer. Work 100% safely or don't work at all ;)

I finished at 12.
But then my battery went flat, so I had no choice after I'd done all the bungalows I could find. ;D

Saying that, it's friday anyway, wouldn't have finished much later!

I've been cleaning 3,2 & 1storey, very large windows all of today and have been laughing my head off because the wind has been so strong that it was nice to have a different challenge today by using a pole pointing at 45 degrees into the wind just to clean them. It's been a nightmare (not dangerous) just hilarious. I got soaked from the pure water being blown by the wind spraying off the sills. ;D
I used a hybrid extel pole today and I must admit that it's a very light and rigid pole with easy reach pole lengths, not at all heav-ish but then again not as light as a supalite so it suited me perfectly today. Nice pole ;)

Did the job no probs, finished early & went centre parcs for weekend.

I always start early, usually around 6, hard in winter though.
