We have been asked to clean a 50ft long 10ft wide freezer which has been emptied of food but is very smelly. It apparently broke so all the contents (alot of meat products) obviously went off. This is a new area for us, the freezer doesn't store products for consumers, just for there own testing and trialling. I have been researching cleaning products etc on the web, any advice on what to use, how to approach the job and what will get rid of the smell. I know cleaners specialise in this area, should I be considering taking the job on? Your thoughts are greatly welcomed. (any price suggestions?)

there are a few places that supply chemical speacilly for this application one is holchem and another is dasic we always use dasic as it seems better, you will need two types of chemical the first for cleaning and the second for sanitizing the first thing to do is a quick wash down with pressure washer using only water then you need to foam area up witt chemical and leave to dwell for twenty minutes next agitate all walls roof etc using either brushes or pads and then powerwash of using water again, fans in roof are done in same way but make sure not to get water into electrics and isolate first , if there are any drains in the fridge then lift these and give them a thorough clean before replacing finally spray all walls ceilling floor with the sanitizer it will tell you what dilution rate on the carton finally squeege any access water from floor and tell them not to turn freezer on untill dried. hope this helps

Thanks for that. I use Impact to scrub sinks down which foams, then we finish off with a holquat solution, (all supplied by client) this may be just what I need for the job. I shall have to check out the sheet for Impact to make sure its suitable. I have looked at the website you listed and this will be great for giving me further knowledge in this industry and I have been given the number for the man I need to speak to. Thanks very much.

Thanks for looking, but has anybody got an idea of a price for this?
