Hi all,
I,d just like to ask what most of you guys prefer to use when agitating pre-sprays. If you just wanted to type in the make + model thats fine, any input is helpful.
cheers klinger.

Sebo Duo but looking to add the Envirodri asap.............. for larger coverage in more open areas. ;D

Oreck Orbiter at mo, and also considering whether to upgrade to Envirodri, just would like to know how much better these machines are.

Had mine a little while now and they are brilliant. Cleaned a rotten axmonster the other day and I used for before and after pre-spray. Considering how little moisture I used the result I got was very good.
Key difference is the weight. You can even use it on stairs once you get the hang of it (I know mossy will disagree with me though)

What's an Ax Monster? ;D
I've seen the Orbiter, how does it actually work - vibration? It uses a flat plate doesn't it?
I use a second hand Host machine off ebay for a ton and not much more to have Von Schrader completely overhaul it. It's really effective, bit noisy, the fluff it pulls up gets a bit annoying if you're doing large area's especially if the carpet's really mingin' :(
It's got the edge over the Envirodri on build quality and sheer torque. You can dry pile lift with the Host where as Envirodri say not to do it with their machine.

rotowash is excellent for presprays, and the noses of stairs.

I have found in the past 14 years that agitation is notrequired, this may be due to the fact i have 99.9% of the time used a TM. If agitation is required then a sebo duo should be all that you require. Chemicals like M Power require agitation, i would rather use Prochem Pure Clean that works on a whole range of carpets unlike M Power and rarely requires agitation (if using a TM).

Does any one else find the oreck orbiter hard to use?
i've had one for six months or so but cant say i get on with it very well, seems to have a mind of its own, perhaps im just not using it properly?

Cheers all, I thought the scrubba tool looked a solid bit of kit, will it adapt to any HWE machine? I have a powermax.
thanks again klinger

i use a host bought of ebay for £30 with 2 sets of brushes still going after 2 years and you can take the handle of to do the stairs thinking about the envirodri after hearing so many good reports on here looking to buy after xmass
should i stick with host or go with envirodri any comments on this thanks
-
NICK If you change i will give you £30 for the host ;D ;D

Er I'll give you £35.
You'll regret it - unless it's too heavy on the stairs.

Richie - I hear what you saying and would agree BUT an extra 5mins spend agitating ANY prespray will give a better more thorough application of the prespray, making rinising easier and quicker and the pile is left nice and fluffy more so than normal. I'm talking tufted and woven carpets. Try it as you will be impressed.
Host is hands down the best tool. Sebo is not agressive enough. The old envirodry machine was rubbish but havent used the new one.

I have an Envirodry which is excellent, a Duo for domestics and a Mini Tex for stairs and upholstery, which is also excellent.
