i am wanting to get in to the commercial stuff now how do you get in to it is it complicated. contracts ,payments ,risk assesments, invoices ect ect any help how to get commercial work and also the paper work please

some hard work and some luck we got lots of commercial work by word of mouth and of course you need to be          patient you will have some in time.

but how do you go and aproch for this kind of work i just havent a clue how to start to get any any help please

this is top secret, many have asked the question and many fail(im in that many)

from my short experience my commercail work has come from my website,yell.com,me approaching a place and finding out the person who deals with the WINDOW CLEANING(but then you have to quote and its very competitive) and ringing up random places/companys.

let me warn you though be careful cause if your new and your cashflow is tight then it can cause probs if you get a few commercail jobs and they dont feel like paying yet! in my experience doing the window clean is half the job chasing down the money is the other half good luck ;)

it is tuff to get into it as most window cleaners say its the cream of the job. I was lucky enough last year to get a large contract in SE London from someone who was on a management commette but the managing agent wanted to use his regular guy by luck i got the job even though the other firm was slighty cheaper. So like i say theres a element of luck. Also like shops once your in its word of mouth again my shops are always getting canvassed but customers always stay loyal.

Approach it as professionally as you know how. If you call to a premises in person, a shirt and tie is a must. I always carry a calculator, ultrasonic measure and notebook and pen when quoting,... I rarely use anything but the notebook,.. but it looks good to have the gear! Always submit quotes in writing, never verbally, and include your terms and conditions with the quote.
If they ask about risk assessments, method statements etc, blag your way through it,.. tell them no problem, you'll get them prepared and submit them shortly,... then run back to the forum for some help making them up!

All my commercial work have contacted me . Either through yellow pages, safe contractor,  or my web site.

my commercial companies hate me, i ring after about 21 days checking when payment will be ready and then again 28 days and if not paid within a week i ring again but there is not many times it goes over that(they get fed up of answerin the phone and saying its ronberclear isnt it and i reply "yes it certainly is" ;D
