First time on here as not a window cleaner, but I went to price some carpet cleaning today and client mentioned that in the not so near future theywere considering a cleaner for the windows, Havnt got a clue why they are not done at the moment!!! perhaps because its a new building ; :)
any way a couple of pics so you can see roughly the amount of work.
It is in east yorks, and I will try to get more details soon

Why can't you buy a bucket and a ladder and do them all yourself?
;)

Geoff I was joking mate... I was imagining how long it would take using a ladder instead of a WFP system.
I'm sure you'll get loads of responses.

Not always easy to get that type of building to clean, as managers like to deal with one company that do all the cleaning (office cleaning)
Andy
PS top of my head its about 900 to clean the windows
-
Those stupid sticky out bits half way up will make life a bit more difficult.
I wouldn't be surprised if these were "self clean" glass, this seems to be the norm now on large glass fronted buildings
-
Sorry Andy,
did not see your smiley at bottom .
yes I do believe they are self cleaning, perhaps thats why they have nobody yet.
Dont self cleaning need to be cleaned every so often? I wouldnt know.
I do know my Bro has just had a house built with windows everywere, kitchen roof, windows up to the eaves front and back all self cleaning, heat repelling or something like that. :) and he said the y do need a clean occasionaly

i already have a building like this one on account the sun shades dont cause to much of a problem.900 /1100 pounds is a rough guesstimate.
-
Sun shades, so thats what they are :)
not knowledgable , when it comes to windows, How exactly do self cleaning windows work?
I was told it was something to do with the sun , and did need rain to activate :-[ :-[ and in condtions of lack of rain " some hope :)" that a hose needed to be put on them .
Is this the case/

dirkstar9@blueyonder.co.uk Self cleaning glass has a coating on it which works with the sunshine which helps to break down the dirt which then when the rain comes along washes the dirt away .I clean quite a few buildings with this glass and in my opinion it has little effect.
-
It seems very nice of you Geoff to pass on the work! Luke
-
Is it a one off or regular work, I would be interested

They don't ;D
I had that from Pilkington's area manager, but he told me not to tell anyone ;)
-
I doubt very much 900 would be enough for that job, Luke
-

-
Best price doesnt mean best job, Luke
-
