Title: Dralon suite
Post by: stevegunn on November 17, 2004, 08:19:01 pm
Went to view customers dralon suite which she tried cleaning with a steam cleaner.Don't know how to describe it but she scrubbed it too and the appearance is as if a nail brush has gone up and down the arms and sides. Is there any chance this could be rectified ???

Hi Steve/Minty,

Dralon is an acrylic fibre with a melting point  of roughly 250C , but being a thermoplastic it wil start to soften at a much lower temp.

When it has softened it's possible to reshape the fibres which is what these steamers do , causing the dralon to reflect light in a different way.

Once this has happened , there is nothing you can do.

Cheers,

Doug
