I found this webpage by accident www.fuelcardsonline.co.uk and was wondering if anybody here uses fuel cards?
-
just put a few drops of acetone in a full tank of fuel or diesil and it will give you almost 50% more milage,
-
Substansiate? = Are you sure it won't cause unseen damage? Prove it.
-
my m8 uses raw vegetable oil in his vauxhall cavallier, great milage a little smelly but hes not bothered lol, hes been doing this for over a year now, with no engine problems
-
petrolprices.com is a good un. They will send you regular emails telling you which petrol station is cheapest in your area.
-
My cousin's husband is an RAC man and he told me that all diesels in India are run on cooking oil and that a lots of Indians do so over here having brought the idea over with them. The trouble is if you buy cooking oil from Tescos there is very little saving in price.

Automotive fuel additive
Some automotive enthusiasts add acetone at around 1 part in 500 to their fuel, following claims of dramatic improvement in fuel economy and engine life.[3] This practice is controversial as there are counterclaims that acetone has no measurable effect or may in fact reduce engine life by adversely affecting fuel system parts[4][5][6]. Debates on this subject and claims of Big Oil cover-up intensified when the practice was addressed on the popular American TV show MythBusters in 2006, and shown to have negative effect in the televised fuel economy test

the basic understanding of how acetone works is like this, all of the fuel is not burnt of in the engine, they say almost a third is wasted, aceton is a thinner, when a couple of mil is added to a full tank of petrol or diesil, it thins it down, so all of the fuel is used, if its the first time you are using it, only add half of the recomended dose, let the engine get use to it, then up the dosage next time you fill up, i am sure products like redx have the same stuff in there ingrediants

this also looks good

i use the diesel version of red x and found a slight improvement to fuel economy , i saw a farm shop on the round selling bio diesel though only 1p cheaper than tescos diesel im going to try the veg oil added to a tank of fuel see how i get on

this sounds an interesting topic , i will keep tabs on this and see wot transpires

I tried this over the weekend in my diesel Volvo taxi (S60 D5), and I must say the difference in performance is quite remarkable. I haven't been able to establish that the mpg is better as yet but will monitor it carefully.

acetone, most chemist have some, if its the right stuff i don't know, my wife always has some! as for bio diesel, i hear that it does not do so well on the miles and in the colder weather it may congeal when left standing, so you may have to still mix it with normal stuff. but it is good for cleaning your engine, so they say
