You could try a local industrial hydraulics company, i got a female connector for about £3 from a place local to me, They use hundreds of the things for industrial, agricultural machinery, etc so doubt they pay much for them themselves.

Any hose and numatic centre sells them they are standard issue in all the trade catolouges just go into your local one and show him what you want he will have it in his catelouge
