Hydramaster Raptor is worth taking a look at.

to 'upgrade' you need to get better than you already have, so a powerplus has 2x3stage vacs and a 100(?)psi pump.

if you want more vac then its either the 3x3stage ninja or the 3x3 scorpion both these come with either a 300 OR 500PSI PUMP.

the poweflite has a better pump than your powerplus but the same vacs

then you need to look into if you want heat.

Ian, spot on.  If you are going to upgrade within the same system then why get another portable.  Pointless, get a truckmount, prowler or otherwise but why waste time with going portable to portable.

Best, Dave.

Speak to John Gotts,  he will ENSURE FIRST CLASS MACHINE & AFTER SERVICE.  The Rapto portables are very good reliable machines.

Unlike the Scorpion the Raptor has heat which we all know is a big help in the cleaning process regardless of which chemicals are used.  No extra external heater required that would get in the way & require another cable.  Whichever machine you go for make sure you either take the advice of other carpet cleaners and not what the seller tries to ram down your throat. Buying either a portable or a TM is a big investment that needs to work for you.

Good luck in whichever machine you choose.

Richie.

Hi, one of many more powerfull machines will improve your work rate and quality. Jumping up to a t/m will speed up work times. If you want to upgrade your portable look at the raptor or scopion, cfr or possibly high end ninja. I upgraded my porty from a 70psi to 135psi to 500psi to a t/m. Suddenly realised a t/m would be cost effective after turning down work that i couldnt fit in!

I'm not saying the quality of my work has improved, I still give an excellent service for a price thats right but do it in half the time.

If you're busy and cant fit work in get a t/m. I can now do the same work in half the time usig a t/m, others may disagree but using a t/m is faster, easier and the carpet/upholstery is dryer sooner than with any porty (even high end).

Get either a van mounted machine or prowler, the prowler sounds like a decent bit of kit, John Kelly at restoremate is the man to talk to. Aparently they do finance deals as well so you can spread the cost!!

All the best,
Jason.

YEH its fine saying TRUCKMOUNT TRUCKMOUNT look at your workload can you justify the cost NOTHING wrong with going for a better portie ninja scorpion etc with ninja you can have tank heater and built in heat exchanger very neat package. Really look at your costings there are a lot of hidden costs buying a truck mount size of van needed water tanks extra you will also need new hoses etc
