Jonny where is the money you have continued to say you will send?
You offer to sell goods on this forum and do not deliver I have sent you in excess of 40 emails, you have promised 4 times that you will re-imburse me the money you owe me for the goods you failed to deliever...well sorry that is wrong...you say you sent them but say they did not get through...mmmm...chase the courier then....

If I were you I would feel ashamed at the level of contempt you have treated me with...I in good faith have paid you for goods...via an email you used to conduct this transaction...then after 3 months you get in contact with me as someone whispers in your ear that I am shouting about you on this forum...

The you say that particular email address you hardly every use aquapolesystems@hotmail.co.uk ....why conduct business with it then?
Then you use another email ( j.mills175@btinternet.com ) address and then continually fail to answer my messages....and when you do it's only to offer yet another excuse.
I feel 'dirty' having to beg you to pay me the money you owe me...do the right thing and be a man...pay what you owe..lets face it...were only talking about 88 quid....or just tell me here ...no I am not going to pay...then I can stop wasting my time emailing you... ??

People who default on these sums, and offer the various excuses etc are very often close to some kind of breakdown- both mental and financial.
Sometimes things get too much. The guys probably looking at something a lot bleaker than losing 88 quid.
Just an educated guess. Let it go.

come on thats a bit harsh for 88 quid just drop it he is obviously embarrassed or in some sort of trouble, take all things into consideration and let him explain before slagging him off in front of us all!

Well anyway Ian Giles who's the moderator who should pull this mentioned that ' i use a sort of webbing attached to my hose, I put it over my shoulder and off I go'
I've been hooking mine to my belt but this sounded better, I asked him to put a picture up but he didn't. All i could imagine was him looking like an army sergeant.
I tried to buy some webbing- something like a harness maybe- but didn't have much luck. What I ended up with was a nylon dog lead that does the job very well and looks rather stylish. It is red and I wear it around my neck and under my arm like a sash. It makes me look like a general, or maybe more of a brigadier, but the point is it's excellent.
I'll be back with the punch line later.

I think we are best warned if a fellow forum member is ripping people off. I have read quite a few of Pingus posts (and those of his previous incarnation) and I would say he is a reasonable guy. For it to get to this stage I suspect he has exhausted all other reasonable avenues.
I for one think a warning in those circumstances does the whole community a favour.

I sat on that info since august and I should have asked dave for his email.
I won't do anything similar again.

Dave, I've not affected the general text of your post very much, but putting certain things in writing for god knows hope many people on the internet to read brings forth possible libel issues.
Also forum rules are that posts flaming others and so on are frowned upon by admin.
I'd much rather conduct this conversation though email!
Hope you don't think I've been too heavy handed, I've had posts of my own edited elsewhere and personally hate it.

Ian in retrospect you have done a sterling job and I apologise for questioning your actions...in all fairness you have moderated very well and with no bias...but I appreciate order has to be kept.
I shall now promise never to mention this event again as I appreciate that for others who read the posts, this could all be very, very annoying.

In retrospect to what was posted, I read the thread about JMs contact details.
Yesterday, I recieved through the post a scam letter from a 419 character, I was most disturbed, it was posted in the UK, but written by someone with limited English, in typical 419 language.
They had my full name, my e-mail address was included in the letter, and no doubt had somehow managed to gain any contacting details from the net, maybe by a process of elimination, or good fortune on there behalf; however perhaps everyone in the UK with the same name as me recieved a scam letter of similiar nature, but I doubt it.
The reason I post this on this thread, is its highly disconcerting to recieve something of that nature on your door-mat, when all necessary info must have been retrieved from the net; posting others contact details is totally unacceptable.

Now as you are a company promoting your wares...you have posted this information, what is to say that it is not being propogated around the internet as we speak....to all and sundry?
When you post your details, do not be surprised if someone uses it to contact you....whether to buy or complain....
As far as I know an address is not subject to any privacy laws....I think you are all jumping on the wrong band-wagon here...
If you conduct business from a known location people will find you if they want to...look at the amount of infomation, advertising that comes through your door....do you really think it all happens by accident?

i understand what you're saying and i do agree with you. But i didn't post his address. Only gave links to it from the info jm posted on here. If you go through his posts you will find this out.
I don't feel proud of doing it and the post stayed up for 5 minutes at most. It has dragged on since august and it is now december so there has been plenty of time to sort it out. jm was a good poster and the info he gave on here was to be respected, but he used the forum to take money off of people and didn't deliver. If you dance with the devil and all that....
I do however regret not sending the info by email. That would have been the correct form. But i acted 1st and thought afterwards. I don't regret passing on that info though. The only concern i have is that the details might belong to someone else. That would be regrettable.
That info can be found by anyone who cares to look. All who post on here using a real name and a general location can be found by using the internet.
But it shouldn't have come to this anyway.
I'm more sorry towards the moderators and mike boxall who were put in an awkward position. And of course i'm most sorry to pingu who has trusted a fellow member of this forum and had that trust burnt.
I'm sorry if jm has got something bad going on that he is under pressure. But it is done now and i wouldn't do it that way again.

Yes I do have contact details for people to contact me as I have nothing to hide or to hide these details, what is wrong is if you have a problem as you do with this guy is posting his address ect along with your complaint (dont know who posted it or pointed to it), now I am not saying that this person has ripped you off or hasnt, the fact is that this could be done to ruin someones reputation even if they have done nothing wrong, this is my a mod got invloved, I do feel for you and I would be very annoyed about it.
I am not having ago at you in any way and please dont think that, I am just giving my opinion. ;)

Hi guys I rang him this morning(he supplies me stuff all the time -never any probs)
he has no internet access at the mo but says he has trie to refund it but the account details he recieved were wrong or something like that - there's been some other things happen, can't go into it but he asked me to post this anyway and says once he gets his computer back he'll come online.

i don't see theres anything wrong in whats been said, after all the guy used the site to obtain money and business, i have read a few posts regarding this problem and its still not yet sorted out. he has had enough opportunitie surely to have this matter resolved so why not let pingu stress his concerns on the site?
Its the same as when a canvassing company doesn't deliver or rips someone off...they use the site to obtain business...people then have the right to voice there opinion if it all falls through to put out the warning signs for everyone else to see. Then they can make there own mind up about dealing with this person or company again.
If you run a straight business you wouldn't of had this type of problem to start with. As for naming addresses so what? if it was a legit business we could quite easliy look up the contact details anyway
just thought i'd add my thoughts on the matter after reading the post. :-\
