It's a close call between Vax and Bissell. My money's on the Bissell because it beat 3 other machines in a cleaning race on QVC. They poured Coke, coffee, ketchup, raw eggs, pure orange, sugar 'n all sorts on the cream carpet and the Bissell cleaned it all up in one pass while the people working the other machines looked confused and disappointed because their machines just weren't as good.

Cheers Alan,
Just had a look on there site, They seem to be aimed at the Domestic market! Was more interested in a Professional set-up.....

rah the prochem powermax is a great machine to start of with you can find them on olympic cleaning uk thats the best price that you will get them for.I think they still do a free training course when you buy a machine.

Rug doctor AAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! sorry, had to say it.

rah, take the advice and go for a professional machine, the Prochem is a very good machine and the choice of many new starters to the business.
If you turned up for jobs pushing a rug doctor,it would not do much for your image, they would think you had just borrowed it from Sainsbury's.

the most powerfull machine on the market is the 'Scorpion' sold by Solution UK
