Hi Luke

I agree about the website, but nearly all the kit I use came from them and their service has always been great.

I usually give them a ring, I don't have the number handy right now but if nobody else posts it I will dig it out for you later.

David

They probably don't want or need a website.

They are major suppliers to the trade as well as retail stuff.

you'll find that just about every supplier buys direct from them.

01626 830830. Ask them for a catalogue. I have used them a lot and they have always been excellent but the lack of a website is a bit offputting these days.

Varitech don't have a website because they supply to other well known online shops. They don't mind selling to individuals who visit them in person, or telephone/fax enquiries and they post out small sales brochures to people who have bought stuff from them. They have no intention of running a website at the moment and for the near future too.

I have heard this aswell about religon, not varitech, someone I was offering a domain name to in 1998, I was  :o, was not going down the road that I thought it was a bit silly as each to there own, even if it is odd in my book then religon is the war in the world to come  ???

That's bizarre. Most religions are 1000's of years old. How could they decide one way or another on whether to have a website was holy or unholy? It's not like they can ask the main man (or woman or thing) for an opinion.

It is 100% true, will try and find out which one it is if I can, religion can be a strange thing sometimes, like the lady that died a few week back because religion said she could not have a blood tranfusion that would have saved her life instead she died, I thank god that my brother is not in this religion as both his boys had to have blood every week to keep them alive, both are fine now.
I personally am not to religous I am a christian, and if some bad happens to family ect I will pray but thats about it for me.

They are members of the Exclusive Brethren and avoid DIRECT contact with everthing they consider evil  eg. Mobile phones, Fax machines,Computors,TV's or Radios.

Glyn is correct they are members of the Plymouth Brethren.

He is also correct about direct contact with the Internet etc. They don't consider it all to be evil just certain parts of it. Im sure we are all aware that some things on the internet exist that we  would all consider evil.

They have been considering a "managed by someone else" shop front website. I was talking to Mike about this very subject on Monday. As of yet they are still undecided.

so they can't have a mobile phone but have an ordinary phone?

don't get it, but each to their own.

Fair play to them standing their ground.
