Title: Mattress Cleaning
Post by: ca8gro on November 26, 2007, 10:30:33 am
Hi,

Has any of you ever tried to go down the avenue of mattress cleaning? I currently work for an IT company but borred and am looking to start up a new venture. I've stumbled accross the idea of mattress cleaning and sanitizing with companies offering the equipment plus marekting guidance etc, but looking over a few threads it appears that the concept hasn't quite took off.

Any guidance would be appreciated

Grant

I reckon you would have to work hard to get an interested market place.
Never yet heared anyone say "oh! must get the mattress cleaned".

If only you knew just how filthy some peoples mattresses are. Most people who are not domesticated (and thats a large  proportion of society) don't care what state the mattress is in. Those who do care are the sort who make sure it is kept clean in the first place and replace them regularly.

Only 25% of people have their carpets cleaned. Can't guess the number who have their mattress cleaned but would be a small percentage. I would have thought best as an add on to other cleaning services rather than stand alone. It may work in certain areas with the right marketing.
