Title: HOW ABOUT THIS FOR AN RO SYSTEM??

The PRO line of skid-mounted reverse osmosis systems with pre/post treatment equipment is a state-of-the-art water treatment solution ideal for today's busy water store.

This is the heart of your water store. The system takes regular tap water and passes it through an eight-step purification process. The end result is a high quality, great tasting water that will keep your customers coming back, time and again.

The system includes a duplex water softener that provides a continuous supply of soft water and a matching 1.5 cubic foot activated carbon filter to remove chlorine and many other undesirable organic elements present in most water supplies. It also has a 5,200 or 7,800 gallon per day reverse osmosis system that has 20 and 5 micron pre-filters and a state of the art microprocessor control, monitoring and alarm package.

We use a reliable stainless steel repressurization pump to deliver the water to your points of use. A 5 micron activated carbon polishing filter, a one micron absolute filter and a large ultra violet sterilizer are the final steps.

All of this equipment is interconnected and mounted on an attractive and durable blue powder coated skid. The skid is 30" wide and approximately 104" long so it will fit through any standard doorway. We even equip the skid with locking roller castors so it makes it easy for you to roll it into your water room. Installation of the system is a snap. We’ve done the majority of the work; all you have to do is a few simple connections and plug it in. The individual components are discussed in detail below.

Water Softening System:

1 - Autotrol Ready Soft Dual Alternating Water Softener. Dual 12" x 48" softener tanks, demand regeneration system, (only regenerates when it’s required), holds 1 tank in standby while the other is in service, 120,000 grains total capacity, polished stainless steel tank jackets, black poly brine tank, bypass valve, 12V DC power supply.

Activated Carbon Filter:

1 – Autotrol Performa Automatic Granular Activated Carbon Filter. 12" x 48" filter tank, polished stainless steel tank jacket, 2.0 cubic foot of high-grade activated carbon, bypass valve, 12V DC power supply. A sample valve is provided after the carbon filter to monitor the condition of the activated carbon.

Reverse Osmosis System:

1 – 1.5 HP Goulds Stainless Steel Multi Stage Centrifugal high pressure pump.
2 – Desal 4" x 40" ultra low pressure RO membranes. Each rated at 2600 gallons per day. Over 98% rejection rate. The system is designed to be easily upgradeable to three membranes, (7800 gpd)
2 – Stainless steel membrane pressure vessels. Rated at 350 PSI each, Victaulic type couplings to seal end caps.
Dual 20" Big White Pre-filters. 20 micron and 5 micron nominal rated filter elements. Pre-filters have liquid filled pressure gauges before and after to monitor filter condition.
Low feed pressure shut off switch. Stops machine to prevent pump damage if water supply fails.
High quality flow meters to monitor product water and wastewater streams.
High-pressure needle valve adjuster for setting the membrane operating pressure.
High-pressure safety shut off switch. Shuts system down when operating pressure exceeds 200 psi.
Concentrate recycle needle valve adjuster. Allows operator to adjust the amount of wastewater flowing to drain.
Automatic membrane flush. Flushes the RO membranes with pure product water when the system shuts down on "tank full" condition. This keeps your membranes running clean and prevents high mineral content product water on system start up.
Automatic start/stop operation. Keeps storage tanks in topped up condition.
Bypass valves on post filters for easy system sterilization.
Main tank dumping valve to drain main tank quickly if required.
Reverse Microprocessor Control System:

State of the art computer control system monitors and controls all facets of the reverse osmosis process.
Integral total dissolved solids monitor. Constantly monitors and displays water quality on an easy to read backlit display. It has a programmable alarm that will provide an audible and visual alarm if water quality degrades to a pre-set threshold.
Elapsed hour meter with display and alarm. Can be programmed to remind operator when to change filters or perform other maintenance on system.
Constant display of system operating status. Gives a visual readout of all system alarms when they occur which makes trouble shooting very easy. It also displays system run and tank full/standby mode.
Monitors and displays feed water temperature.
Controls the water level in your water storage tanks via two level control probes, (supplied).
Automatically starts the RO system when water level in the tank drops to the start up point and then shuts the system off when the tank is full.
Controls the low and high-pressure cut-off switches. These switches operate on a pre-programmed time delay which prevents the system from cycling on and off during momentary fluctuations in water pressures.
Controls the automatic membrane flush system. When the tanks are full the system automatically flushes the membranes with pure product water.
Controls the repressurization pump and prevents the pump from operating and thus losing it’s prime if the water tanks run low. Once the water level in the tanks has been restored, the repressurization pump will automatically re-start.
Repressurization Pump:

1 – Grundfos MQ3-45 Stainless Steel Pumping System. 1 hp, 220V, capable of 20 gallons per minute at 40 psi. Water-cooled motor for silent operation. Does not require a pressure tank or pressure switch adjustment. It is designed to provide a continuous flow at constant pressure. Thermal protection with an automatic re-start feature and a top mounted, user-friendly touch pad control.

Polishing Filter:

1 – 20" Big White filter housing with a 5-micron solid carbon block filter. This polishes the taste of the water prior to dispensing. 1" connections for high flow capabilities.

Ultraviolet Sterilizer:

1 – Trojan UV Max Model E ultra violet sterilizing system. 316 stainless steel UV chamber, 1" connections, LED indicator for elapsed operating time to remind operator when it’s time to change the bulb, audible and visual alarms as well as an automatic water shut off if the bulb fails plus a visual indicator for system status making it easy to trouble shoot problems. Maximum flow rate: 28 gpm.

One Micron Absolute Filter:

1 – 20" Big White filter housing with a one-micron absolute filter. This removes any small particles, particularly carbon from the water prior to dispensing. 1" connections for high flow capabilities.

System Plumbing:

All components are factory interconnected with schedule 80 PVC piping wherever possible. All other piping is high quality lead free material. Feed water, product water, wastewater, pump suction and dispensing connections are all available from both right and left sides of the skid. This makes it possible to easily connect the system in a variety of configurations depending on the location existing water supply lines, drains and storage tank placement. All piping and connections are wet tested before the system leaves the factory to ensure a leak free package.

Electrical Requirements:

The main RO & repressurization system requires a dedicated 220V, 15 amp outlet. The water softener, carbon filter and UV each require a standard 110V outlet. Power draw on these items is very low and they can all be run on the same circuit.

It's just over 10,000 quid!!! Luke

I agree, pay cheap, pay twice. This has a lifetime guarantee so I'll be fine. It does take a bit of space up so that is a downside! Luke

I imagine it's designed for those people who deliver water to offices in those large plastic bottles that are placed upside down on office water faucets. I wonder if they do a hot version, or is that where you paint it black and put it near a window?
