Yes love it but wouldnt use it on a portable, only the TM and yes you need a glide.

Mark, Ihave a glide to put on it already but I just hope it will fit, Why not use with portable?
Mike, The one I want is from a brochure from a company called Durra-Kleen which Nick has sent me. It's the 12 inch head version 1.5 bore tube and has a ball valve in the trigger.
Regards,  Martin.

Yes it is the Westpak. I've got the 4 jet low profile with 1.75" tube. It will take both a 1.5" vac hose and 2".

I've just changed from an inferior slotted glide to a Greenie Hybrid running from my Scorpion and the results are absolutely stunning. No shortage of performance. It will only pick up small deposits of fluff though compared to my old slotted glide which would take virtually anything.  I wouldn't want to change back though. I haven't tried this wand on a twin vac portable, and Mark could well be right about using on a T/M rather than a regular porty, esp. if it's vacuum optimised.

The same wand is available with a 1.5" tube if you prefer and it may be a more viable proposition.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Good work chaps, Thanks.
I've got the hybrid greenglide so that sounds like it's going to fit.
Also I ordered the 1.5 so I can use it with my ninja or my Bane with which I always use a 1.5 whip hose. Anyway, it sound like an ok wand.

Ken

Don't think it will be a genuine greenglide from solution as only hydramaster stocking them is it not from the ken harris stable?

Personally I found the 4 jet wand from Solutions was leaving the carpets to wet when I used to have a high powered portable, and found the wand a bit on the light side, swapped it for a 2 jet.

if the carpet was left wet with your 'high powered portable'  the maybe  your portable wasn't as 'high powered' as you thought :D :D

high powered portable now there's an oxymoron 8)

It's a genuine Greenglide (packaging confirms) and it was sourced for me by Solution UK.

My understanding after looking at their website is that HydraMaster only carry glides for their own stock wands.

On 50ft of 2" hose my Westpac/Hybrid Greenie gives a superior dry to the HydraMaster Spitfire 3.2 did down at Redruth on 100ft of hose.  I doubt if my vacs would outperform the Spitfire though on equal lengths of hose :'(

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Your right Mike ,not powerful enough to cope with a 4 jet wand.

If you configure the jet sizes right you can easily use a 4 jet wand with a porty and have the advantage that it brings.

Did have one once a total nightmare could not wait to hand it back! Don’t have time experimenting with jets that cause tramlines (But hay it was probably one of the first of the boat)
