what it called when you bend both ends of channel to remove more water for less detailing

as far as I know you cant, you have to bend end of channels

Never found it necessary. I use Unger Ergotech channels and handles with Pulex medium rubbers cut 3 mm either side, used with GG3. Never had to do much detailing with the above set up.

I misunderstood I thought you were saying you never needed to use a squeegee

Dog earing is good but if you apply a lot of pressure to squeegee ( I am heavy handed) then it tends to shred them at the ends quite quick (he rubber that is)
