hey everyone i was just wondering how much you would charge to sub contract yourself out for an 8 hour day? commercial work btw
thanks
-
I would charge my normal day rate
That would not include traveling time and expenses
-
sorry for me asking but what would a normal day rate be?
thanks
-
That depends on if you want me alone or me and my van mount etc.
-
person and van mount
-
Depends on the work,
area, when you would you be paid
If you know the company ,
Is it a one off or is it going to be an on going thing ?
As for the amount you earn take your day rate and add 50%

If you are in business either sole trader or ltd company you must know your overheads i.e: how much you or your company needs to earn to break even, your profit is put on top what % profit is up to you!
if you dont know the break even point your in trouble

a bit prey init plus vat
pricey
-
so what do you reckon? £100 a day
-
£100 + depending on a few things
Thats what i would want
-
at least?
-
i will take you on for 100 a day with your own equipment .
how much wk do you need
-
so what do you reckon
-
OK - Imagine that in 8 hrs you can usually earn £150 - £200 for yourself.
If your round is full you might decide to only sub out rarely for £200 plus costs.
If you earn £100 - £150 but have many empty days you might sub out for a week at £500. Especially if you are paid quickly.
It's up to you really.
My round is full and I'm not looking for work so the rate has to be at the top end of what I earn to make it worth the bother.
And being paid at the end of the day is more tempting than two months later when the customer pays the invoice.

thankyou everyone and especially last one!!
