The reason no one wants your trolley is probobly for the same reason your getting rid of it. :'( :'( :'( :'(

I think a backpack or trolley would be a great asset to a vanmount. If you have one of these pumps from Gardiners
(http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/12voltpump.jpg)
you can then fill a backpack from your tank in just a few seconds!!
I find alot of jobs I have the hosereel is more hastle than its worth and just quickly filling a backpack or trolley and taking it to the window would save loads of time. Sometimes the hose can be so annoying, having to go back and find where it snagged!!
If I was you Ian I would hold onto that trolley and buy one of those pumps from Gardiners, that way you dont need to carry any containers, If you save only 20mins everyday for windows that are trolley/backpack friendly then in a year that would be 86 hours in a year for a full time window cleaner, at £25 an hour that is £2150!!! I think the trolley is perfectly capapble of saving 20 mins every day on a domestic round even with the occasional commercial round, it obviously does depend alot on your own circumstances though, Luke
-
What are you going to pump in to the backpack-trolley luke,by the sounds of it your going to be cleaning window`s with RO only water.
-
If I was to buy a trolley I would set up a static system with RO at home then my tank water would be pure. At the moment I cant be bothered and it would cost me around £500 for a second hand trolley, £120 for 2 sub pumps ( 1 van one static ), £50 for ibc and another £30 for pipes and other bits oh and another £30 for postage, thats around £700, I'd rather just put up with the hose getting on my nerves! Luke
-
If you had an RO at home it would still need a DI can to make it totally pure for backpacks and trolleys,i wouldn`t use either with just RO water.
-
An addendum to my previous post.
Back in June the £630 would have gotten you the Trolley fitted with battery, flowmaster controller, sureflow 100psi pump and the charger. I believe one 25ltr barrel would have been included but I can't say bout the delivery. The 25ltr barrels were about £8 each if memory serves.
So to buy a trolley from Pure Freedom + 16x25ltr barrels would cost you between £750 - £780. Unless their prices have changed since June.
-
Just buy a vanmount, end of story. You`ll end up turning it into a vanmount anyway.
-
come on andrew where are you!
-
no its a good system to start of a wfp window cleaning company becouse u dont need a van cheep start up costs and there many people on this siye how have bought the system new

£449 ain't a bad price. It would pay for itself within 3 days.

You'd have a job without a pole, brush, micro-bore etc

4 days then. ;D
-
£449 is good for that you do get the battery, pump and flow control with that. plus all the barrals. dont know why some think its a rip off cos its not ??? ???
i would have bought it a couple of moths ago :)
-
I never said it was a rip off in my post. I just suggested that for a trolley a year old at £449 was maybe just a bit too high. Some people might think it's worth paying. Maybe it is. To the right person, it definately is. But for the extra,what....£180 you got the peace of mind that if anything should go wrong, theoretically, you're covered under the manufacturers warranty. That wouldn't be the case with Iain's trolley. And that should be considered in the price IMHO.
-
fair comment but it is good for the price
:)
-
I do think it is too much for a used (out of warranty) trolley, I paid £550 last year for a new one with Barrels.
Great system tho, I will offer £250 to pick it up-just to have a spare.
Wouldn't offer anymore tho

This was made in jest, if you read the post you will see why. I have a very good life thanks ;)
£449.00 for a second hand trolley without ro/ di and pole is over priced IMO, by the time you have bought what is needed for it you may aswell buy a new one and the updated model.
I personally have a van mount at at this time cannot see the point of getting trolley, will never say never though.
Good luck in the sale Iain I hope you get a price that you are looking for.
-
NWH, My tds is only 34, and I could also use a di too, Luke
-
Iain, don't know if I've missed it in an earlier post but it might help if others knew which model your trolley was. It might attract more attention for instance if it was the version that Pure Freedon are currently advertising on Ebay as it is very compact when folded down. I can get mine in the boot of my Nissan Primera saloon with six barrels of water. Some I've seen advertised you'd need a van to put the trolley in.
-
Luke it dosen`t matter what your TDS reading is,the RO is still not going to give you pure water without using a DI.
-
YES ITS THE FOLD DOWN SYSTEM HAVE JUST LISTED IT ON EBAY WITH PICTURES
