is it safe to put a wfp system tank in the back of a van near the doors or does it need to be central?

you have to think of weight distribution. If you say you had a 600 L tank fit it central (which is right up near the seat, this gives an even load when cornering ect ect, if you had a small tank 100 L then IMO it would not be a problem.

this is what i thought, but wouldnt be able to do a full days work on this amount though im guesing,

100l no way IMO 250 maybe, if you live near your work for could always transfer it to a small tank in van just pop back and refill when needed, I personally like to have enough water

Why not just fit it in the right place for a start ???

Each axle has it's own max payload. U can overload an axle without going near ur total max payload so the tank must be situated without overloading an axle. Basically central between the 2.

because i wanted to put seats for the kids behind mine then box off the back and run one vehicle but dont think its gonna happen,
got offered a very cheap transit but looks like probly better with a small van to begin with

no no not small.... my van is too small and sluggish.. its an expert 1.9.... with a 250 tank... i want room and power for the upgrades of tanks etc.... and space to work from.
i wish i had never bought it.
think tranny, vivaro, thats the size in my opinion.

i cant sit the kids on the tank though ;D

you will be able to create a crewcab ( name of style of van with middle seats ) out of a transit and have a 400 L behind the seats
you will also be able to get a rear bulkhead aswell
