Title: Filters
Post by: Neil_A on November 17, 2007, 03:51:16 pm
On my ro unit 'in the picture below i read that i need to change the filters on the top?  Is this correct?

If this is true, what ones on this link do i need to buy? http://www.ro-man.com/shop/index.php/cPath/24_72

And how often do i need to change them?  I have been using it for 2 weeks now.

Thanks

you top filters (membranes ) will last you some time if you back flush regular . your bottom filters will do you for a few 1000 ltrs . what size ro unit is it and how much water do you produce ?

Neil cut out a section of the shed and make a door at the back then attach the things you need to get to there  ;)

YUP It's a Freedom RO. If it's got the 3 housings on top it's a 300 GPD one.

Call Andrew McCann. They stock all the replacement filters an stuff for these.

Ian mate.. Andrew owes me loads more than you lol  :P  :o

are you sure its 300gpd unit as picture is not good quality . i would say its 200gpd with separate di vesel . even so your filters will last some time . i use ro-man 200 gpd unit with di set up more or less the same as your picture . the 3 bottom filters i change around every 5 months the membranes i have not changed and had my unit some time . i was told in a aqua shop that if you back flush regular your membranes will last a few years . i cant say on this but my units still working well and only changed pre-filters once .
