Done a job today and needed 250 ft of pipe just to get to her lounge :o.Most jobs dont go past 100 ft.
Got me thinking, what is the longest pipe length any body has used ?
-
My pipe has a long length!
-
My pipe isn't that big but it sure has some girth
-
My pipe ( when fully extended ) is completly crush proof.
-
My pipes bigger than your pipe ! :o
-
Pete I heard that yours is a hida a hose ;D

Only when I've been for my 6am dip in the Channel (make that English Channel as I'm making it far too easy for an onslaught)
-
Paul
Just to give you a serious answer, 400 foot, but the suction left much to be desired
-
350ft and still pulling well, there is a certain person on another site who i believe goes 600ft regularly :o

Paul, I pretty much use 250 to 350 on most jobs that I do. I have used 600 feet quite a few times with no reduction in either vaccuum or solution pressure, or heat over that distance. I once coupled up a thousand feet just to see what happened. Nothing compared to its normal ability or to another truck mount but would have still out performed a portable.
Best, Dave.

Dave
Can you tell us what machine you use that shows no reduction of vacuum or heat over a 600' run
-
I've used my steamway equinox at 600 ft and that doesn't lose heat or vacuum at that lenth.
all the best
John
-
Dave what are you doing with a 1000ft of vac and solution hose? you're draping it down hill sides and using it to climb up are you?
Shaun
-
That solution hose must have great insulation not to lose any heat over that distance John
-
Not to mention some size of van to haul it all around in :D
If this were the case I would just use the portable and be happy with it, running out 600ft or more defeats the object unless it is a HUGE job and you have a HUGE supply tank
-
When i was cleaning night clubs 5 days per week i would run between 250-400 feet regular. most ive run is 650 feet. used to run 450 feet on my spitfire on a few jobs. yes there was a loss of suction but nothing to bad. heat was still good. still, both were better than porty performance. dont let Nick or John from CT here us all talking of such long hose runs and still good suction, they will jump on our backs telling us that there wonder porty is as good or better. HAHAHAHA :o
