What size do you guys use on trolley systems?
My van mount has 85ah and i forgot to charge it last night so it went flat by lunch time. As i only had just over half a days work yesterday my battery only lasted one full day. Nine months old and it's tired already. I popped into the nearest supplier and had a choice of 120ah (enormous) well over a hundred quid or an even smaller 75ah which strangely felt heavier than my old one. Surely you guys arn't lumping 120ah batteries about?

I only got a 85ah one and it lasts 2 full days easily before I have to charge it but I try to charge every night, only enquired at a caravan shop yesterday and the 85ah are £30 and the 110ah are £50 (2 year guarantee) although these are due to go up in price soon due to the price of lead increasing :o

Strewth! thats cheap Halfords wanted ninety for a 75ah. I wonder if there are different qualities?

The Birmingham branch is the one I phoned and got mine from, seem to be a few around the country so might be one close to you.

regular car batteries are around 48 ah- i used one from my mk1 ford fiesta and after charging it lasted for 2 days and still had charge,
i bought two new 40 ah sealed gel batteries from ebay- and they work very well. last a couple days on full charge. i have one spare just incase. also i have a lead that goes from the cigarette lighter socket to my battery box so i can plug the main vehicle battery in if the auxillary ran out. Trolleys from 20-40 ah i would say.
