Title: Possible sub-contract work in Beccles area
Post by: need a cleaner on November 15, 2007, 01:01:36 pm
We are putting a quote for the windos and gutters on a big Georgean house and would like to hear from any1 in the area with IPAF trainning (as i still dont have mine done)that would be interested in sub for the gutters.

Its about 65/70 metres of gutters at 40ft high the interested party(if any) needs to give me a price for the gutters, any access equipment needs to be supplied by you (boom Z45/25J RT). i will need to hear from any1 interested by tomorrow so i can present the quote to the client.

You can find my email on the forum or my contact number on the website.

Thank you

i work the villages around beccles (on the suffolk side) but i don't know nor have i seen anyone locally who uses rope access.
There is someone on this forum i remember from norwich who specialises in high level work.
Have just had a look and his name is Jonathan Adams. He is online now according to his profile. Try giving him a shout.

Hi Mark, i was hoping you see this topic :), as Chris mention that you are from that area and use boom lifts,This is a job for a boom lift rather than ropes.
Would you be interested in the gutters job? and if so what would be your price for it?

Hello hugo, thanks for thinking of me and to chris as well.
I have never attempted anything like this before i'm afraid and have never used boom lifts or anything similar either.
I obviously have no ticket and apart from being curious to do the job, it would be new territory for me and therefore is beyond my present experience.
I assumed when i mentioned jonathan adams that you had already spoken to chris and he couldn't take the job. He is not far from beccles himself.
I would be interested in this job on at the price chris mentioned on the other thread (not including windows) but without any training i would think an operator would be required to come with the boom.
I would need more information on hiring a lift and will have a look at firms locally who could provide 1 and at what price.
If it isn't too late and you would like me to make enquiries call me on:
0776 9595 131 and we can have a chat to see how to proceed.
Thanks again for thinking of me and if you decide that i haven't got the experience and am not up for the job i won't be offended.
Thanks again.

Hugo

I know of a local chap close to Beccles who has a IPAF cert. He would be interested if he could clean the gutters on a sunday only due to other work commitments.

If this helps you, reply on here and we will go from there.
