I think that the majority of the figures that cleaners say they earn are true,  they also give advice on how they earn such sums to those that want to increase their earnings.

But does it really matter that someone is earning large sums while others are earning a lot less.

Every cleaner knows how much they are happy to earn and they don't want the hassle involved in increasing this figure.

I think many post their good/best  days and forget the ones where they did very little/nothing.

Like i have expressed in previous posts, i like to know what people earn if they explain how.

Like i explained i was not earning a huge day rate as i dont have much work, First Clean £13 ph, 2nd £19ph and 3rd £23.50 it's not a boast but just explaining that it's just down to speed and confidence i increased this.

A post saying, We earnt £500 today blah blah just annoys me as it doesnt actually have a point.

A post saying My best day was £425 and we just did £500 today, has a point.

JUST TRYING TO IMPRESS

Isn’t it about time the w/cs stopped bragging about there earnings, you have to remember that this is a open forum for anyone such as the taxman to view it.
Not only that you are also encouraging other visitors to take up the blade/pole and try to make a living out of w/cleaning.
But as we all know, it’s not a bed of roses surrounded with golden honey pots you have to work hard at it and maybe take a year or 2 to become well established and make a decent living from it.

As for how much do I earn a day/week, that info is privy to only my wife, taxman and my accountant, suffice to say I make a living from it.

If it helps I can tell you that I have just upped my mortgage payments to £1,000 per month so I can pay it off earlier.
 ;D

Grafters I couldn't agree with you more. It gives the wrong impression to all the wrong sort of people.

Window cleaning is hard work, you freeze in the winter, you bake in the summer and you don't get sick pay when your back gives out or you fall off your ladder. You don't get compensation for the RSI or the arthritis in the knees both of which are an occupational hazard of the job. And when you are too old or too ill to work there is no company pension to fall back on.

But thats all right because we all make bundles according to some people.

Grafters couldn`t agree more, but i would say that 1-2 years to build a desent business is no where near long enough. To be honest 4-5 years would be more realistic and theres not that many people that are prepared to put that kind of graft in grafters LOL. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

this is a common human trait and is not just confined to window cleaning or indeed what they earn.I worked in printing for 20 yrs before switching to window cleaning(should have done it 20 yrs sooner!!!)and every place i worked there was always some tw*t or,indeed,tw*ts bragging about how much more they made than you last month or how much more they made at the last place they worked etc.etc.ad infinitum so its everywhere you work and most people listen to it take it with a pinch and think "w****r" anyway i agree with D.woods small willy should be top of that poll by a mile personally i barely scrape a living  :D

I cant see why someone would post about their earnings, to me that's my personal buisness. I think alot of the time if it's true it's a 1 off. I think it makes them feel better & bigger than others.

I will never forget my uncle, he was a multi million aire in cash plus his assets were worth millions but he was the nicest bloke going, i never heard him brag. His main home was nice but not what i would have lived in if i had his money but his weekend home was more like it. I asked him once why he only lves in that when he could afford so much better, his reply, "I have nothing to prove & what does it matter what people think," If you had met him you would not know he was minted just know hes done well. He also said the majority who have dont go on, it's normally the ones who go on want people to think they have it when they aint.

Does make me laugh about figures that some guys come up with on here. Yes i have weeks when i earn over 1k but then other weeks might half that of less. but big deal its down to what people are happy with and personal circumstansies.
