Take the brushes out John - 2 spindles to knock through.

You can clean the brushes with hose and the inside of the brush housing with wiping.

There are 5 sets of brushes available for the Envirodri
black for hard ie hard floors
black & white
white
white and gold
gold - for soft ie wool

Personally on a berber I would start of soft and go carefully. I think your thinking that way too.

What brushes do you have?
They are about £90 +vat a set from Envirodri so not cheap.
I got 3 sets, white, black/white, white/gold

Personally John I would have liked to start on something softer, but I admit not being too experianced with my Envirodri - only got mine in mid-Aug07.

If martin_606 is looking in on this thread I am sure he could give a more informative answer, or someone else with the experiance.

They usually say Gold brushes for fine rugs but you are right to be cautious. Does custy have a cutting? (remember though that will not be same as used). Ken Wainright might also be a good person to advise (or Paul Moss for that matter).

John
I tend not to use any type of contraflo brush system on Berber style carpets as they can unravel quite easily. You only need one weak area to be loose and before you know it a whole line of carpet yarn is in the bushes and your in trouble. You did not mention the fibre type ?.
You are truckmount so I would just prespray somethig like Ultimate master and leave for 10 mins then extract with mod/high heat at around 30 psi.

I have used an Envirodri on berber, both gold and white brushes ( circumstances dictate).

Paul. I take it you meant 300 psi.

If you get any plant pot stains don't run it over with your envirodry or you'll get a nice whole.

Thanks for the replie Paul , The carpet in quesion is 100% wool, are you suggesting using ultimate master as a pre spray then just extract with just plain water at 300 psi

Thanks  John

John, yes miss type. My laptop does not type very well thats why some times certain letters are missing if I hav,nt hit the key hard enough.
I was trying to type 300 psi ( thx John) and  yes I also rinse with just water, again unless cirumstances dictate. In this case just rinse with straight water, you should have no probs  ;)
