Hi martin,
from a quick glance,
Your text boxes at the top are hard to read and the .gif style pictures are very pixelated. I would change the styling of the text box to be a single colour (light blue to go with the rest of the styling) and use medium quality .jpg for the images.
I would also use a call to action in the main reading pane.
Overall the site is better than most of the self built CC sites so nice job 8)

PS you really should get someone to look at the SEO
PPS i use firefox, so the styling might look different in my browser.

Also, I couldn't see your links page, do you have one on it?
Links mean higher rankings and more customers.

hi
firefox is a nightmare
seo im getting good quality hits. i just need to review the front page with regard to the meta tags, as i had on the previous version.
the website seems google happy, i use adwords and spend between 150-200 per month, and from that am getting ggod work.
i will have a look at the pics.issue, thats the first time thats been mentioned.

Just checked your site, you have virtually no links, which means very weak natural listings in MSN and
Google
If you optimised the site, you could save yourself the money on adwords. 8)
Our site is rank #1 on Google and Msn for more than 40 searches in this area, which generates a lot of customers, also people are more likely to click on a Natural listing as it takes time to get there, suggesting a stable, here to stay business.

The feel of the site is very commercial and presumably this was intended. If so, you have achieved your goal as it does give the fim very professional image.

hi there
there are links into the site from my BT and yell listing, and a lot of info is provided by those sources to search engine.
whilst i dislike with a passion paying for advertising the adwords works well at the moment, i agree with what you say to a point with regard to natural listing as opposed to sponsored listing.
i may well consider seo in the future, but i need to be careful in the number of customers i take at one go, controlled growth is important to us.
with regards to the commercial look of the site, the letterheads, leaflet inserts, site reports, business cards, and folders all follow on from the web theme, along with colour of vehicle livery and office signage.
the branding whilst not as flamboyant as some, delivers a clean image to our potential and existing clients, the services that we then provide deliver the same message.

I see where you are coming from, links to the sources that you mention are good, but only having a few links will never generate good search standing, perhaps 40-50 will see you climbing into the better positions on page one.
We have approx 340 at the moment.
