Title: Emporium
Post by: Davew on November 09, 2007, 06:28:12 pm
saw this on another thread, has anyone seen it yet? What's it made of, is it just a converted fishing pole? Seems a reasonable price with fairly short sections but there are even cheaper fishing poles about (and longer).

Ive held it, it seems alright. It isnt a fishing pole though, it is designed for wc, its made of carbon fibre. I like my Super-lite 2 though! Luke

Yes but for a lower level bashabout pole it could be good especially if it's stronger than a fishing pole? The S2 is a little long/ cumbersome for darting around domestics with i find.

I dont know about it being stronger than a fishing pole but I do know that the Super-lite is stronger than a fishing pole. I would never use the Emporium  for a lower "bashabout" its not suited to that type of thing at all. I dont think fishing or fishing style poles are suited to small-medium domestic at all, just get a smaller telescopic for that or Gardiners carbon telescopics that are coming soon, Luke

ps. I'm 6ft3 so I dont notice lengths of poles so much, when Jeff was round here the other day he was showing me his f16 with a 3ft top section which he needs for doing grounds but because I'm tall I dont really notice if a pole is short or long

I will be very interested if the sections are shorter and if it can be used with the gooseneck with carbon fiber insert.

Luke, try getting through a flapping side gate on a windy day with around four hundred poundsworth of S2 waggling around in one hand.

The sections are shorter on the Emporium but not by much infact its hardly worth mentioning. No gooseneck comes with the Emporium though, Luke

pricey, I got the introductory offer with my 45ft one! I've got to pay for a body repair bill after a small accident though so I think I will give it a miss. It would be nice for both of us to be on the Super-lites though! Luke

Well I dont know anything about that pole but I would never ever buy a modular carbon pole for 18ft work, if its telescopic then yes. I am aware that Emporium are soon to release telescopics, Luke

I don't use anything but modular - not a problem for me.

??? I have the Reload for everyday and the superlight 2 for best. I think they are around five feet but the Reload top section would be shorter than the S2.

hi guys ,

just to clarify , our new  Econ 18ft modular pole , its a very strong stiff modular pole designed for every day use,

it is a carbon fibre mix but has the strength to take on everyday use and still keep cost down, we have made it in shorter 3 ft sections , which is a more manageable size and gives more flexabilty with the different heights needed  for the modern window cleaner that will use it on a daily basis

we supply it with a short extender and a free jetted bently brush for the first two weeks ,
any questions just email us or call ,

thanks
