high tide in lowestoft at 8.42 am. Think i'll get up at daybreak and have a nose around.
I'm on the edge of the severe flooding risk map. About 100 metres away from flood drain so should be alright.
Quite excited though. Got buildings insurance.
Just checked the postcodes that are at risk of flood. Mine isn't on there but the street behind is.

Bazzy.... there were 8 flood warnings , so where were you, NFS didnt tell us personally as they were scared us retained guys would put our selves off the run and they wouldnt have any fire engines turn up.
oh and it wasn`t 8.30 they called us it was 3.30am and we got home at 3pm after trying to get those cows off at haddiscoe.
and i would of still earnt more doing my window round, just goes to show the fire service pays crap.

cost the goverment thousands, there were appliances from mersyside.warrington, tyne and wear, west yorkshire and cheshire all in great yarmouth for the day, but at the end of the day, better of safe than sorry.
glad no one was hurt or killed,
now back to windows
