I have always found the best way of getting paid by these types is a personal call, it doesn't have to be threatening but lets them know you want your money.

Most agents pay up very quickly as the payments come out of the outgoing tenants deposits.
But more and more tenants are missing the last months rent and then doing a runner,so effectively they are using up their deposits,so the agents use this as an excuse not to pay you.
They will delay paying you until the property has been relet, this can be weeks or even months, luckily only a minority of agents work this way,so when you get your money either get an assurance that you will be paid promptly in future or don't do any more work for them.
LA work can be very rewarding and very often the houses are unfurnished so that makes it an easy clean.
Downside is the carpets are often minging, but it's nice to see the finished product after you have cleaned them.-John

I do a fare amount of work for letting agents and only once did I have a problem, there customer refused to pay for the clean, I politely pointed out there customer was not mine! You ordered the clean so down to you! (I always ask for a fax/e-mail works order it saves the grey areas)
I understand the deposit system has changed (not my problem)
Hope you get paid

Got one at the moment, he letting agent asked me to do it for there landlord, and the landlord keeps on promising he is sending the cheque in tomorrow.
I will give him an other week, then formal letter out with a 14 day court warning and then put them in court. I will have to let the lettings company know, but its not worth time dealing with people who promis cheques for two weeks and live about 300 miles plus away

Thanx, Glynn I will have a good look at it, have you used it before, and do you still need to follow the pre court protocols.
