Title: Van business card holders
Post by: Jason Hedges on November 05, 2007, 11:53:36 pm
Hi,

I bought a pair of business card holders for outside of van and fitted them today (easy to fit and well made), while working in small high street cleaning indian restaurants carpet had a call from a pub/hotel up the road. "Just passed one of your vans (didnt tell her I only have 1!) and taken a business card from it, can you come and give me a quote as our carpet cleaner has just retired".

Popped up the road, did quote and booked in one job for later this week with plenty more pending. Might be luck or that it was on a high street more likely.

I paid £20 for the pair a couple of weeks ago, first job has paid for them 4x over! Just looked at his other items and he has reduced them to £15!!!

I know I'm way behind the times with this idea but if anyone is thinking about it, cant go wrong for £15.

I'm not the seller and dont know him, just thought I'd pass on a bargain.

Kind regards,
Jason.

Jason

How do you attach them?  I cobbled something together with standard leaflet holders. Would only be worth £15 if it had fixings for easy attachment and removal.

Hi Mike,

They come in 2 parts, a back plate that you attach to your van using double sided adhesive pads which are supplied, the front card holding box then slides onto back plate. Easy to take on and off and really sturdy.

All the best,
Jason.

Just ordered a couple off linacalo, had a dealing with him a couple of years ago on ebay where he was selling "the best marketing leaflet ever" or words to that effect.   it was the Extracta A5 flyer, of which I had just done a 50,000 drop!!

He seems to be into fish food now ;D

No need to carp on about it.

I thought those leaflets were a bit dodgy, no wonder he was a bit koi about where they came from.

He used to be a member and asked members for their marketing ideas pretending to be a new starter.

It appears from another site he is the best Carpet Carpet Cleaner in the World.

When I bought somthing off him he insulted me on my feedback

Ian bears grudge i AM AMAZED i DID NOT DELETE THIS TOPIC.

hOWEVER   I do think its a good idea andnow the price has come down possibly somthing you would all want to know about.

Mark Betts was called Carpet Magic Think Phil is his mate.

Think he went back to Photography plus got bored with Forums

But Mark had nothing to do with this.

Mark was very helpful in supplying marketing stuff.

Think he got it from Mike H. and Shaun

Got my holders today and must say well impressed. Didn't see they had a little lid on them from the ad.

All I need now is a van with quarter lights. ::)

There's an Expert with NCCA decals on the site.

That sort of does it. I can't get all my kit in the combo now and I need quarterlights!

I like the expert/dispatch vans, seem ideal for domestic.

I have also purchased some of these, and I have to admit that I was slightly concerned about the fact that local kids would be the only people taking the cards....

I installed them on the van approx 3 weeks ago, and counted 10 into each side.  So far I have had 4 cards taken, 2 turned into enquiries, and 1 into a booked job.

Holders have more than paid for themselves already ;) ;)

Paul

And if you put a folded business card in there you effectively have a mini brochure selling while you're working/shopping etc.

Anyone had 4 sided cards made up at a good price?
