Post by: Kwackers on November 03, 2007, 10:35:29 pm
Hi,

I know i hear some silly numbers floating round the forum i cant see me getting away with.

I do a house with a conserv i charge an extra £5 for the conserv, roof is every 3 months and i've charged £10, is that enough?

£5 is probOk for av. conserv. £50 for the roof would be OK

If it's a three panel "lean to" roof as an extra to the side windows, done quarterly - yes.

If it's any bigger - no.

If it's an Edwardian/Victorian - certainly not. Minimum £50

:o Madness, just seeing what you lot charged.

I've done a couple, all i'm cleaning are the panels and there not really dirty.

I have a minimum of £25 for polycarbonate roofs and £30 for glass ones.

i have been in the past like fiver...but now im not so soft as they arent as easy as they look. i have wasted alot of time on them. but depending on dirt ... i think unless its like horrendous, £50 is certainly a con...roof  :P

Plank it up???? some of the roofs I have done I would never stand on.

Use wfp far safer than planks  ::)

i dont pressure wash con roofs now.
All it needs is to have a dodgy seal and you've got water getting in.(although it is good for cleaning to top of the con, the fancy, decorative bit).

ive cleaned roofs between £25 to £120. It all depends how dirty it is, how often they want you to clean it and how big it is.

Powerwash a Roof Every 3 months, surely it's not going to be that dirty!

powerwash a roof? no thanks...ive been accused of breaking the seals on double glazings when the windows mist up inside the glass...and that was with the pole system where the water trickles out...

I would not say power wash a roof, it is meant to keep rain out that bar's of water from coming in  ;) did it myself so really do not what i am talking about, it does blow sills to the glass, did that a couple of times, you have wfp use it, safer for you and the customer
