is it me or is it really easy to clean leaded windows with wfp?
-
I`ve said in the past i would change all my work over to PVC leadlights if i could, there so easy to do + 99% of the time they come up spotless. You could rag em allday long and never get em anywhere near as clean.

When it comes to cleaning 'dreaded lead's' with WFP i find using a soft bristle brush (like Ionics commercial) easier and quicker than using a firm bristled brush and find that you can wipe any really dirty sills without it splashing back onto the glass afterwards.

NWH, sounds like you prefer UPVC leaded over UPVC plain windows? If so, why? Do they dry better?
I'm interested because as you have probably gathered from my posts I'm new to WFP.

Yep, On leaded wfp is a million times better than trad. I'm trad and always dread doing my leaded window accounts....especially the old leaded stuff that's at all angles and pops out as soon as you put any real pressure on it.
-
Yeah, but they're also quicker by hand than normal panes too.
As long as you're good at trad. ;)

One of the major benefits of leads to me is, that in the winter, if theyre due to be done, then theyre the first property to do as they warm you up straight away on cold frosty mornings.

New PVC leads for some reason sheet a lot more often than the plain glass, also the lead polishes up lovely after a few cleans with the pole.
