ive just had a call from a client who has tipped a bottle of the black stuff on his WHITE cpt,i am not sure this will clean out,ive advised him to keep it damp untill i get there,tomorrow am, any help please folks, was thinking, jesus in a bottle and solutions no 2 >:(

I've no experience of this scenario, but I'd be tempted to advise absorbing as much out as possible with paper towels. Even make a poultice. If necessary to keep damp, it can then be dampened with plain water, but there is always the possibility of cellulosic browning dependant upon the usual variables.
Good rule of thumb is: The more removed prior to cleaning, the less soil (and associated problems) to be removed later.
