Title: Top Service from Alltec
Post by: Doug Holloway on October 28, 2007, 10:14:45 am
Hi Guys

Vac on my Advantage packed up Thursday afternoon, arranged with Chris to drive up early Friday.

Brushes on both vacs virtually nil, engineer fitted new brushes, ran 30 mins half speed, 30 mins full speed.

Back to work only had to postpone two jobs.

Very good service from Alltec as it has been in the pastand two cups of coffee.

To be able to drive approx 80 mins to a supplier,  who sorts out problems there and then is a real luxury to someone like me,  who is not much good at engineering.

Thanks

Doug

:) Nice to hear positive comments on any supplier these days  ;D

Only been there on NCCA day once..... very good hospitality and helpful with orders.

Doug,

Are you saying they replaced the brushes and did not suggest you have a new vacs.

If so excellent.

Had a similar good experience with alltec last week.

Ordered some hose joining bits and pieces from them, when order arrived (next day) they had sent me some 1 1/2" hose joiners instead of the 2" i ordered.

Phoned them to tell about the mistake. Had the correct fittings next day and they enclosed a self addressed freepost padded envelope for me to return the wrong bits.

Cant say fairer than that!

All the best,
Jason.

Hi Guys

What i like is that when a problem arises I can do something about it.

Otherwise it's waiting on the delivery service of the supplier and whether he has the parts.

A lot of the CC machines come from USA and parts can be a problem.

Cheers

Jason, you ordered something and they sent the wrong ones, how is this a 'similar good experience'? sounds like they cocked up to me.

Would it not be better to have a spare vac you could fit in 20mins then post the other vac to Alltec.

80 mile round trip plus an hour or so at Alltec cost you about 1/2 a day or £250 on a good day.

Hi Mike, yes they did cock-up, still very good after sales service and exceptional delivery speed on correct items!

Hi Mark

Yes it would no doubt be good to have loads of different spares,  but after years of having to repair machines,  I enjoy the luxury of not getting my hands dirty!

I am an advocate of buying locally when you can,  as there are many benefits.

Cheers

Doug,

Come to think of it Mark has a point.

Thought the Advantage of the Advantage was the slot in slot out system and the ease of getting at the parts.

Just to add that at anytime I have had problemswith my TM, which has happened from time to time. Chris and the team have been top notch on getting me up and running again within a few hours.

Great service, shame for me I am so far away!
