I told one customer the only way to keep the frames clean is to have them cleaned weekly as my job is to clean the dirt away from the glass and frames, stain removal is another job and another price.

No chance if it's been on a couple of weeks, solvent cleaner will shift most things but even that wont shift what's in the pic's, might need an angle grinder :o

as said it might not come out, plastic window's are not as maintenance free as they say, some dirt, as in the picture does penetrate into the plastic, you can try rubbing it out, or sanding it out [not worth it unless you really know what you are doing] then polishing it back to a shine, depends how deep it goes, its fly poop, the dirty little buggers!!! Cr** half their body weight  :o  omg what a little factoid there, geek momment!!

What about a cream cleaner disigned for bathroom use (safe on plastics). I've found it removes most stains. Mind you if you had to use it on every visit it would be a bit time costly.

I've just brought some of this for that very purpose.

And it works a treat.

Dr Power...all the way. I've had loads of this recently and now take my little sponge with me on every clean, a dab of DP on it, quick rub and rinse perfect. Not sure how the upstairs sills look though :o

£5 from Focus

To V8Edd:

You use Ionics brushes with your hot water system. I too use hot water at the same temperatures as yourself (25-40degrees Celsius).

I found with using Ionics brush heads the bristles are good for doing 'easy maintenance' cleans on windows but no good for scrubbing the removal of spiders mess on sills because the bristles are too soft, hence why I  changed the brush heads over to 'Tucker' brush heads as they are stiffer and remove a lot more stains.

If you keep the Ionics gooseneck and jets and simply replace the Ionics brush with a Tucker brush (no drilling required) but you will need to fit a washer (brush side) of each jet to accomodate the slight space between jet and brush.

Try it and you'll be surprised how much easier it is to remove the spiders mess and fly poo.

Tucker brushes are stiffer than Ionic brushes but not as stiff as i.e. Vikan

Wayne are you using the new ionics brush you know the stiffer one or not as
it will get all spider and fly poo off in seconds without the tucker price and bytheway im not tight
but the ionics brush is the best imo BUT its the spider mess we can`t get off

Edd:

I haven't tried the new crinkly Ionics commercial brush yet.

I still use the old commercial heads on maintenance cleans for low work and Tucker's for high work.
I prefer the Tuckers because they aren't as soft as the Ionics but are softer than Vikans yet will still remove the spiders mess and fly poo on glass and better still on the PVC sills & surrounds. They're better for removing seagulls poo by tapping the glass and removing their handy work whilst using warm to hot water.

I share your dislike for the old Ionics domestic brush heads as they are too floppy!

Edd is the new Ionics brush head bristles softer or stiffer than the Tucker?

Blimey you lose a lot of bristles because of the jets.

Tucker & Unger Hi-Flo Carbon Tec are very similar for losing bristles where the jets go as they are similar in size.
