Post by: Wrekin C S on October 26, 2007, 01:16:25 pm
Hi guys

I had a call last night a guy wants a one off clean on his conserv I asked if he wanted the house doing he said maybe occasionally! So dont know if he wants house doing or not? From what he says its quite dirty  - how much should I charge for the windows and roof? and if its really bad what detergent do u use for the stubborn stains etc? as i'll price this in with quote... I'll try n get some pics later when I go there.

Thanks
Andy

Here's some pics what do u reckon? There's about 6 windows and door around the front - custie wants house and con windows doing monthly and house, con roof, and con windows for first clean - the roof hasn't been done for approx 3 years and is green...

Andy, just the conservatory roof I'd go with £30 to £40 and about 1 hour or less to do it, definately need TFR though it'll cut through the green ;D

you wouldnt really need tfr. You could clean that with wfp, but using just tap water for the outside tap.
Then clean the windows at the end.

Suppose you could but why not make things easier, he said it was green :o
Just tap water and it'll make it hard work.

The price is for a 1 off, i get plenty so that's my price, that's for the con only.

If it was a regular custy my price for the house & con 4weekly would be £18 maybe £20,
the roof min £75.

You think i'm over the top, i'm cheap down here, many wc down here would want £200+.  :o

First cleans for custy's going on my round are charged normal rate, i consider this fair as by the 3rd clean it is quick with wfp.

I did a con roof first day wfp Charged £50 only 4 panels on roof, it was green as hell, trad I would have said £80 but I wanted to play with my pole took 2 of us 20 mins, so I ended up cleaning the gutters on it and all the con and the rest of the windows at the back of her house, to say she was over the moon is an understatment.

I'd leave myself an hour to do that house and con roof just to make sure. Id charge £15 for house and £50 for con roof. Thats £65 for an hour of my time, not bad i'd say my dad has to work a full day to make that sort of money.

The company I get it locally from told me caustic is fine to use for our business as long as its diluted correctly, also said using non caustic by comparison would be a dissapointment, I've been using it now 6+ months and no problems.....who to believe ::)
