I am to quote for a job tomorrow. It's a disused shop, the new owner wants to use it for storage.
I'm wobdering whether it's worth my while offering a discount in return for being able to place an advertising sign in their shop window.
Question is, how much is a sign/large poster worth in terms of advertising?
It's in a parade of specialist shops, in a fairly quiet area frequented mainly by residents. There is a fair amount of passing traffic.

Calmore,
That sounds like a pants idea. A disused shop?
Why not find a nice shop, where there's loads of traffic and they have an excellent reputation (that you can associate yourself with).
Go in offer to clean their carpet at a heavy discount (and do a good job of course) if you can put a leaflet stand on the counter. Make the leaflet discount look like it's the shop that's offering it.
Find a shop that would have the kind of Clientele you would like as Custies.

Well, by disused I mean it's currently an empty shop.
The rest of the shops are currently used: glazing company; sign makers; army surplus; electrica shop and a couple of others that I can't remember (Possibly a launderette.)
My logic is the fact that I could fill the whole window with an ad that'd be visible to all passing traffic any everyone visiting adjoining shops.
There'd be no reputation to be associated with..the whole window would effectively be my billboard.

To advertise on town centre rubbish bin £10 a week per site
Shop window banner at least £20 a week ??? ???
Could be more.
Your banner may change the amount of rates the owner has to pay.

a big ad with a card holder placed outside might be worth £30 a week, but you'll now within month if its working, so its worth £120 to find out.
